We have a 5240 mfwd with around 5500hrs, only problems we have had was the thermostat went out around 4500hrs, that was the easiest thing i've fixed on a tractor other than an oil change. At about 5200hrs had to replace the pressure switches in the powershift. Other than that no problems and like some have said pretty damn handy around the farm. I used to think the hydraulics were slow or seemed starved, there is somewhat of a regulator valve on each scv, if they are opened up all the way (which they are now) it works a whole lot better. I think its a great tractor overall
