North Dakota
5000 series had very few problems. We have a few in the 16K to 20K hour range with original engine and trans. Biggest complaints are the parking brake being left on and burning out the linings because the buzzer doesn't work. PTO had a few problems, but after they put in large spline parts they fixed that problem. Powershift pressure switches once in a while. A/C problems are usually related to the radiator being plugged. The real problem that I see is that the hydraulic system is a bit short on flow and would have been much better with 25-30 gal of flow. I would say 95% of the local owners would say the 5000 series is one of the best tractors they have ever owned.
