I am pretty well in the same position as you with acres and being myself on the drill and hired help doing burndown and keeping fert and seed ready or harrowing some wet holes to get them ready for seeding. I am jumping to a 57 foot next year with some more acres and don't think 2 drills would work for us as the second guy would hardly get any seeding time in and would always be changing tractors from one impliment to another. But thats my situation. Our land isn't hilly and is easy pulling so traction and horsepower isn't an issue but if you could keep it simple with only one drill and keep it rolling I think that would be your best bet, some larger operations will run their drills 24 hours to get everything done so maybe thats an option for you, or maybe just a few more with your other hired man.
