SE MN | One thing that I haven't heard anybody talk about yet is whether or not the thing is in running shape. I wouldn't want to take the thing to the field. I would guess that there is rust on all the internal surfaces that normally get splashed with oil. What about seals that dry out or shrink if they don't see oil? How about flat spots in bearings, bushings, and seals? Do you think any of the original freon is in the thing? How about the original coolant? If the guy had started it up and run it an hour every month to keep it working it would have a lot more than 47 hours on it.
Am I wrong? Seems like it could cost a lot of money before it was a good working tractor again. The best thing would be for deere to put it behind glass. I am sure glad that I am not the soul of that tractor though, pretty boring life. | |
