There are some pressure side filters;

I dunno why you would use one.
Most of the filters in the world are suction or return, though.

From your link:

"Brand new, ZINGA series CF-90 high pressure filter. Designed for use as final filter to protect control valves, not as total system filter."

I learned that the hard way, first year (1978) 1480 IH combine has no high pressure filter. A dying hydraulic pump loaded the valve stack with aluminum shavings that took four complete tear downs to get rid of all the chips in the system and the valves working again. Very soon after, and I believe every Axialflow combine since has a high pressure filter at the valve stack inlet.
