EC IA | Kelly- what are you referring to that "a diesel's maintenance gets a lot higher as the miles go up" ??
I've got a '99 powerstroke with 185K miles and haven't had many repairs on it at all. Probably the biggest thing were the water pump and alternator, otherwise I think that's it. I'll probably be replacing injector o-rings before winter and while the injectors are out give them a good cleaning, otherwise the engine has been mainentance free for me, besides regular oil, air and fuel filter changes.
Diesels are known for going high miles, meaning things wear out slower which one would think it would me less maintenance. Just curious. | |
