Subject: Bin Drying Floor - Cement Block?

NE Iowa
Got a ear corn crib that I've converted to shell corn. Tired of the perforated drain tile on the floor for aeration so bought a used drying floor. How close together do the concrete blocks need to be put? All my "real" grain bins have the steel supports but I know there is a lot of bins that use cement blocks but I have no idea how to space them. Considering this project a used floor and cement blocks is all I can justify. The grain will be 8' at the most. It is the equivalent square footage of a 18' diameter bin. Roughly how many do I need? If the grain is only 8' can I turn them so the air blows through them or will they break? Thanks.
