Grinnell, Iowa | We have a neighbor thats bringing his 1280 up to us next week, when he pushes the clutch in he cannot get the tractor in gear because the transmission is still spinning. Have had a couple guys try to tell me that this is an Allis Chalmers manufactured transmission, any truth to that? Also has anybody dealt with this before and if so whats it take to fix it? Last but not least can anybody tell me the best way to get the transmission out of the tractor, this will be the first 1000 series through the shop doors. Thanks for any help you guys can offer. | |
