My shop manual and wiring diagram for the '98 4.6 triton shows only one oil sender SWITCH. No other sensor. Watch the "gauge" on the dash, it always sits at the same place whether the engine is turning as slow as it can or as fast as it can. I concluded its a fancy idiot ornament that conveys no real information. Did it go down when the light was on? I haven't yet had that occasion to check.
