Ohio | I would have see where they came from... Dairy farm tractor? etc..., where I am from most of the dairy farms are tough on equipt. If a dairy had owned it, even if it was cheap I wouldn't want it. On the other hand I have acquired machinery that had 15 years of use on it, and still performed, and looked like it recently came off the dealer lot. The biggest question is where did it come from, and who owned it, how well was it maintained. Maintenace is a huge factor-maybe we do too much maintenace, but I know what a grease gun is for. Working when you need it makes money, a paperweight doesn't. If its used usually with a little effort you can find out most of the history on something with some time on the phone, even if it has been bought or sold a few times... The newer tractor would be a lot nicer but you get into a lot more electrical issues. good luck. -John | |
