Subject: RE: Amazone Equipment

Germany

I have one.
It is nothing else but a light disc harrow, designed for shallow tillage.
I use it after combining to incorporate volunteer grains, weed seeds and stubbles. Shallow work is essential for quick germination. I used a rotavator before but the Catros does better, quicker and cheaper (fuel consumption). The roller /packer with rubber rings has a great share of the good working results.
The discs are suspended individually and have individual bearings. A LOT of bearings working under severe conditions but they claim they got it under control. Seems to work for me :-) The seals used are really heavy duty types.
The Catros also can be used for tillage after moldboard plowing but this is not the preferred application.

If someone says the Catros replaced his plow, this is because a quick and accurate stubble treatment is the key to a reduced tillage scheme, at least here in europe.
