Near Richmond, IN | I've got an 02 Explorer Limited with the V8 in it and it has plenty of power. I pulled a 14' motorcycle trailer to FL from Indiana loaded with two big bikes with no problem, so the V8 should be plenty for you. I actually got 10-11 miles per gal which was better than I thought I would pulling that trailer.
BTW-anyone that wants one, mine is for sale! 69,000 miles. We're doing the same thing-we got married a few years ago and each of us had a vehicle so we're consolidating to one---bought a Ford Edge and really like it.
