Kevin we had a 98 then 02 now 06. The 06 rides better than the others we also have the V-8 motor. All the Exploreres we ever had had the v-8 so can't say if it is better than the 6 or not. The 06 we now have has everything. Does yours have the GPS ? Still learning how to work ours. I think you will be happy with the Explorer.
