Cat put that engine in a lot of Chevy tandem dumps that ended up used as County dump trucks. 3 being one of Cat's favorite numbers, 12 meaning 1.2 litres/cylinder, 6 meaning 6 cylinder. It is expensive to run the overhead, other than that we have had good service out of a 3116.
