I run 1/2 " hose plumped to a full flow ball valve directly into the tank, and a high flow fitting at the gun and hose end. Don't strangle it with a little 1/4" fitting at the gun. Works great, it really brought my 1/2" gun to life. Heck, before you get a 3/4" gun, you might just try the bigger hose on your 1/2".
