Subject: RE: Field cultivators

Brazilton KS

When we were doing tillage on beans, we moved almost completely to the Discovator and Tilloll.  Since we are planting more corn and notilling all the beans, we went back to a field cultivator.  The current model Landoll Field Cultivator will go through anything the finishers would (and more, compared to the Discovator).  We refurbished our 1050 Deere which we have owned for a couple decades, adding a bar and replacing the shanks with higher trip force on wider spacing, and now it will also go through anything the finishers will.  I'm interested in doing another one, or a 1060, if someone has one to get rid of.   For the way we farm today, a 1050 is about worthless as it was built, but they were well build, durable frames and for what they sell for, they are well worth updating in my opinion.
