Galahad, Alberta | My brothers had a '81 model 875 from new, put 4700 hours on it and traded it off in about 1990. There used to be so many around here that you couldn't swing a dead cat and not hit one, but the designator 6 series wasn't a great step forward, imho, and there was no decent Ford dealer around "here"after the merger, so now the local JD and Case lots have lots of old versy trade-ins. The 875 was replaced with a CR 1280 steiger that has about 9000 hours on it with only a couple little motor things replaced, and some axle seals. Both have been very good tractors. The Steiger has been replaced with a JD 8960. Only put about 1100 hours on it over the last 5 years, had to replace the two big hydraulic lines that go back to the remotes. What a PITA when they crack apart.
