Subject: Re: chevy anti lock brake problems

NW Iowa
I had the same problems on my 02 Chevy 1/2 ton. I don't know if there is much else other than replacing the sensor. You could try to get by without but I was told that the new brake systems don't react like the systems of old, so pumping the pedal doesn't work real well. Even if conditions are not slick it is still dangerous. I had it several times pulling into parking spots when the brakes would pulse. Of course this would happen when I wanted it to stop, but the pickup kept moving. The quick remedy is to let off the pedal and hit it again, then it would stop. I would suggest running it in and letting a technician test the sensors to find out which one is bad.
