Subject: Re: Overhead grain bin

Ethridge, TN
Designed and built many a structure myself, and they are all still standing. But that was back when steel wasn't priced like it is now, and they were all over built compared to what was actually needed. Price of steel has come down some since economy has fell out of bed, but still plenty high.

As far as bins, most of the ones I put up just had your run of the mill Brock hopper bottoms put on them. Some were new, and some were used bins that we put more rings in. 12' dias. are easy do because of how the legs are positioned under the bin. 15' dias. become a bit more fun.

Good local millwright might be able to build a structure cheaper than a package bought, but that may all depend on location, location, location.
