0ur power lines are about 180 ft. from the roads, I say about because the gap changes from a full 180 at the south end to 140 at the north over 2 miles. The Quarter lines are probably wrong because the power line is straight for a long way. Lots of double spraying, but at least I don't have to spray the road. I have power lines on both east and west sides so double the annoyance.

Do you get compensation from the power company for the poles. I get an payment for the poles on one side but not the other, not that they pay very much. When I first bought the land I questioned the payments and it seems that they distinguish between them on based on the use of the power, rural feeder vs. commercial. Do other places have this?
