Subject: Re: Air compressor lines

In our shop we have a closed loop system usimg 3/4" b.p. for the main run & for drops. At the bottom of each drop there is a 6" water trap below the connector with a pitcock for draining. The compressor has a built in water trap which collects most of the water and there is an extra tank in the main line that normally catches most of the water that the trap in the compressor misses. I try to drain the drop traps at least once a year but they seldom have any water in them, a few drops at most. WE also use a portable trap/regulator that we move to whatever drop we are using when using any air tool or paint gun.
