| In the past we would temporarily convert a single rear axle truck to a double rear axle by attaching a "jeep" to the back of the truck. The jeep had a kingpin which slid into the truck's fifth wheel and in turn the jeep had a fifth wheel which was now the fifth wheel the trailer hooked to. The jeep also was pinned to the back of the truck frame with a simple clevis like connection.
