| Boot to safe mode and try to do the restore. Also do you know how to open up MSCONFIG and do a print screen. I wold be interested in what is starting up. Could have been some thing as simple as an Adobe Reader update or even a Windows update that is hangng things up. What exactly happens when you try to shut down? any errors?.....have you checked the error logs?
Which version of F-secure are you running, and did I help you with the settings?
