That might work. But I have a catch pan on wheels, maybe 2 X 3 foot. Probably got it from Northern Tool. 25 or 30 gal ? I just take the mesh screen off, set the sump pump in, put hose in a tote, and let it pump. Not real fast, but I can always clean shop while it pumps. Only thing I use the bucket for is storing it. Not sure a bucket would have room without kinking the hose.
