I don't use them much anyway, but why can't they make a toolbox/mount that doesn't require a hole in the back of the box?

Those boxes always end up full of dirt. Not good for much other than a hitch pin.


What are you talking about?!?! We have one on our 4000 for 30+ years and never had trouble with dirt in it. Then again we overload it with too much stuff anyways. The only problem with these toolboxes that we have really come across, is that if you don't put the tray back in just the right way, the lid does not shut right and when you hit a bump in the field, there goes your tools (please note that this is because we are dumb and always in a hurry XD). Overall pretty simple and easy to use. We really like it, but it really is just a tool box.
