I've been reading some more.....the DVD player is (supposed to be) able to play PAL, but apparently some play it but don't change the frequency from 25 to 29.whatever fps. Some TV's can handle this and lock on to the freq and just play it with time speeded up, but others cannot and give the vertical hold problem I have. It appears that I have a selection of equipment which doesn't get the job done.
