| no rebuild. I wish I had a pic of it working today. You could see the blowby. It's not too bad. It dont use but a quart every 100 hours. I use unical sae 30 oil. If you are so inclined, you might try a different oil in it. You know the old story......"my neighbor......". Well, my neighbor had a 5488 that would burn a trmendous amount of oil in a day, but the engine was in great shape. They changed brands from the cheap ??mountain?? brand, to a better oil (as I recall delo 400?) and the consumption went to less than half. Maybe the blowby would be reduced in your tractor if you're worried about it, by trying a different oil.??? | |
