Westport, IN | A Wilmar spreader near me is set up this way. I briefly thought about a dry planter so I had it a look over.
Essentially it was a regular spreader with a gate on each end. The gates are identical on each end. On the hitch end it had a box fabricated with an folding auger going up to the planter. It was PTO driven, and had a belt drive the web. You removed the belt to use the spreader end.
If I was to build one, I was going to get a hydraulic fertilizer auger for a wagon and set it up to catch fertilizer from the belt. Then I should be able to run the web backwards with the existing hydraulic drive.
