I read thru the research that Gordon had done...that is what prompted my curiousity.  Well, that and our extremely wet late may/early june - lol.  All of our N is placed in the soil but we still saw some denitrification losses on some of our late planted ground that is poorly drained...which was planted late because it was wet.  There were some rooting issues as well. 

I don't expect the stuff to be a majic elixer but if it would slow the conversion process down i don't think we would hurt anything.
