Subject: RE: nutrisphere

North Central Kansas
An article in the December, 2008 "Furrow" magazine, published by John Deere, touts Nutrisphere-N, Agrotain and Agrotain Plus as increasing yields by about 15 bushels per acre, in irrigated corn, no-till. This is K-State data from the north central irrigated Experiment Field. According to the article, Barney Gordon at K-State says ntirogen losses due to volatilization in no-till can be from 10-20%. Nutrisphere costs about 5 cents per pound of N.

I plan on trying it on urea I'm spreading on grain sorghum this year.

The article is pretty good. I don't know if its online, but your dealer should have a copy if you don't get it in the mail.
