I'm guessing you've never picked up a pile before. What loss are you talking about? A couple of pails worth? What little dirt gets in there is NOT going to make a difference.
25-50-75K, it doesn't matter how big the pile is, the bigger the less surface area. Snow on a pile just comes off in chunks.
