America | Take 5.40 x your guaranteed bushels. This is your dollar guarantee. Then take your yield x the harvest price (December futures average price for the month of October). If your dollar guarantee is more than the second figure you have a claim. What cash price you recieve makes no differnce in the computation. In your ex. your guaratee would be $324. Since the current avg. price for Oct. is 4.13 you would need a yeild below 78bu/ac. to have a claim (3.24/4.13).
