Swift Current, Sask | Here's another pic of it. Jon is right, they can be beasts when given enough HP. We run a 200+hp JD 4840 on it, and if I had more than an 8 spd powershift in it, in certain conditions I could outdo our 9600 (mind you that was before we put the beater speed-up kit in the 9600). A 1.25 mph difference between 2nd and 3rd is too much. We still have it because it is worth (to us) WAY MORE than the $$ value that it is given now. We run it just in lentils, because they are the only crop we swath, and we feel that we can justify keeping it around, even if it only does 2-300 ac/year. Heck, we'll keep it just for the header if nothing else. 7721 T2 combine-$10000, new pickup header (that we don't have for our Cat) $23000
BTW: that's my wife in the tractor. Got her to run it for about 3 hours. She was tickled pink once she got the hang of it!
