I hate to be a bearer of bad news but if you didn't drill a hole in the end of those cracks first there is a good chance that fix is never going to last.

Not to mention, just a plain weld alone might get you through this season but you should grind those welds down and weld some steel over to help keep the tinworking from prying back up away.

I know, thats a real cute place to get to and not set the machine on fire inside either. Plus your probably working against a clock right now. It will probably get you through the rest of the season but I would for certain watch it closely. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Just forwarn you.

What year and hours is this 9600? I'm curious how soon or past I am from this more than likely unavoidable event. Thanks for the pics.
