I had issues with that little expensive bugger of an electric motor on my 1480 rotor also......it would go one way easily but would only speed up the rotor slowly and it would trip the breaker several times till it got to where I wanted it.(frustrating)Then I took apart the motor and cleaned a cup(more or less) of combine dust out of that motor and lubed / cleaned things up and it works just fine again.
1680 rotor, can't adjust rpms.
