Subject: RE: Cleaning settings on 2577

Mid-Missouri
I don't recall what our screen sizes are but it isn't specifically for corn. It is used for corn, beans and wheat. From 100-200 bpa, 5.5-6.0mph, 8row, we have the rotor from 320-360. Concave at 5. If your concave is zeroed out correctly, you almost have to be breaking all kinds of cobbs, not helping on the cleaning system. We now have many whole cobbs. All vanes fully retarded with every other wire pulled on 2 and 3 concaves. Keystock grates. According to the monitor, we have more rotor loss than chaffer. More header loss than combine though. 8 straight rotor bars. I can set the glm on 10 for the chaffer and many times the needle won't register. We just added five hillside dividers for chaffer and they help alot on hills. We can now do the cleaning with the top chaffer with minimal loss on hills. The bottom is probably 3/4 wide. Fan on about 1100. Good luck.
