US usage of fertilizer amounts to less than 15% of the worldwide demand. The cheap dollar that has allowed the high grain prices here has also cheapened Fertilizer costs somewhere else. The current grain price decline has made grain an export bargain. The financial crisis/currency shakeout will paint a new picture.
