| 02 2388 air to air aftercooler. combine seems to work ok on light load, but if you push it at all below 2400 rpm
it dies off in a cloud of black smoke. if you stop and remove the load ,and idle back it recovers .
dosen't seem to be intake problem , new air filter 1hr. aspirator cleaned and checked
less problems at night at night when cooler
Any Ideas?
I had a 1680 that did allmost the same thing. hose clamp on rubber coupler past the turbo broke
and with load and high boost pressures it would let air escape.
i checked hose connections , seem fine
could the waste gate be sticking open or something?
I should have a boost gauge on it. but don't
