Like eddiedry said I'd bet that shovel or the bigger size Item 6982 would be the best for the money. One weighs 2.9# and the bigger one 4# I think the USA made item G46505 aluminum would be the next best if you needed an aluminum shovel but the price is $63.25. I'd probably be inclined to try the composite shovel since we've got 2 or 3 scoops laying around in need of a handle.
