I will dovetail with Jim on this one and state that the emphasis should be placed on the coulter. Don't expect the Equaply or the Exactrix to be magical and just make the ammonia seal. The pressure let's you do with the coulter what you need to do to make it seal. Just plumbing one of these deals to any coulter will not result in better performance in and of itself. If you have good central Iowa soils you could pretty easily get set up to put down 120-140 lbs with the Equaply on 30 in centers. Even more on 20's. Side dressing in a conventional tillage situation? Quite easy to do.
