I ran the 1 1/2 cut for 16 years. I converted it to 3" last year because it was soo much cheaper to rebuild. I went from replacing 3 or 4 sections a day average to 2 to 3 sections a season !!! No... it does not cut as nicely, but is far more durable and cheaper to maintain. I am in No Till beans. Makes a difference.
