I guess I was always just lucky as heck with our 1020s. All I ever did was take it loose from the wobble box, and pull it out. I always did it at about half-hieght. Didn't matter if it was locked up rigid, or let loose to flex, the sickle always just slid right out. It's even the same way with the 635F deere I'm running now. Just jerk it out....
