West Union, Illinois | billybob - Even the single row can be planted twice in the same row, 2/3 pop. the first time, then 1/2 the pop the second time. Pollen gets thin with the 1-4-1-6 system. Never heard of such a thing. Around here it is pretty much 1-4-1-4-1-4-1-on and on. and harvested with a 9 row head. Anytime we have split planted the male it was 1/2 and 1/2.
