| Back in the '7os they put a pipeline in near hear. I was doing custom harvesting on one of the ones it went thru & the owner was using my wagons to haul to his bin. He tried to cross the pipeline at an angle & broke a spindle on one of the wagons. Contactacted the contractor & they said to buy a whole new running gear. Told them we just needed a spindle but they insisted we buy a complete gear. I didn't argue any more with them & went & bought the new gear.
Later bought a new spindle myself & fixed the old gear and put a stainless steel water tank on it.
Paul, a couple weeks ago my wife & I drove down to St. Marie, IL to pick up a corn reel. We took Rt 36 across from IN 63 to Rt 49 so saw quite a bit of work being done on the pipeline. How deep are they burying it? I noticed on the track hoes that the back part of the boom was only a few feet above ground when digging. Figured they had to be at least 10'-12' deep
