Subject: 7240 Magnum versus 255 MX

Soutwest Ks.
Are these two tractors fairly similar in power? I have an immaculate 5200 hr. 7240 Mfd that I'm thinking of updating. Am I crazy? I was looking a little at the 255 series. When did they discard the Caps (sp) pump? What year should I look for? The 7240 more or less does everything I need, however would desire a little more creature comfort. One thing I hate about the 7240 is the weight displacement, ie very light on the front even with a full rack of weights. Hook up to a big 3pt bar and it is very unstable. The MX series shoved more weight to the front, right? Or should I look for a 275 MX or trade for something in a Deere, like maybe a 8320?
Any thoughts appreciated!! Bear in mind that anything I do will very likely be wrong, so please condescend to a man of poor choices!!!!!
