Any chance to no-till (like a 750 jd drill) ? The disk-chisel is the start of the problems. Light disking then drilling ? It takes a pretty good newer field cult to work with high residue crops and getting a halfway decent seed bed (that a guy doesn't bust a gut on) . . . . . not much help but good luck.
