Subject: Is my Raven flow control working correctly?

WC Saskatchewan

I have a 97 854 Rogator.  It has a MidTech ARC 6000 controller in it.  The problem is that the controller doesn't seem to want to correct the flow very fast.

Ex.  I am trying to spray 4 gal/ac at 13-17 mph.  When I slow down a bit to turn, the controller starts showing I am putting on upwards towards 7 gal.  Then when I turn and speed up the controller shows it is putting down around 2.5-3.0 then slowly climbs back up toward 4.0  I would estimate it takes roughly 30 sec to 1 min for it to regain accurate flow.  Even spraying at a constant speed my flow shows 3.7-3.9 for long peroids of time, or if I have slowed down a little it will show 4.2-4.5 for a long time before it will settle back out to 4.0.

I might add that I am trying to slow down and speed up as slow and smoothly as possible.

I figure it has to be the hydraulic control valve not reacting fast enough

Any ideas?

Thanks

The flow control is a Danfoss valve with a Raven head p/n 063-0171-445

I can't find any info on the above part number at all.

BTW the flowmeter is a RFM100 P/n 063-0171-066
