central sask | Upper angle drive/gearbox stripped out, horizontal auger quit and vert pushed out the bottom. Bent output shaft and stretched housing of lower gearbox. $ 4,000 for parts and some are backordered. Case IH has a kit with upper and lower gearboxes and the vert flighting and it is $1,200 cheaper but might be 6 weeks away. So I will strip another 1482 and use the complete assembly from top auger all the way down and be up and running in a day or so for free. will order all the right stuff and replace before next harvest( i hope). Them old 1482's that i have been buying for 500 to 1000 pay for themselves many times over every year. | |
