Subject: Converting GPS coordinates


Central Kansas		I have GPS coordinates for soil site sampling that come from my Garmin. The format is N 38 30.892 and W 97 47.804.

SMS uses the format 38.xxxxxx 97.xxxxxx

I know it is degrees minute seconds but don't remeber if the fraction is multiplied by sixty ninety or three hundred sixty.

Any help is appreciated.
