very close on your history but the Super Cross was purchased by ICI America along with the Diamond brand of soybeans and the old Garst company was purchased prior to that. Then ICI split into 2 companies and their chem brand merbed with Ciba/Sandoz/Novartis and became Syngenta while the seed brand took back the Garst name and was later sold to Syngenta.
